Australian Sean Doyle signs for Ulster
Ulster Rugby have confirmed two more signings ahead of the new season.
Scrumhalf Michael Heaney has rejoined the club from Doncaster Knights on a 4-month short-term deal, with the opportunity for a full-time contract at the end of that period.
Heaney was a graduate of the Phoenix Ulster Academy and has represented the province at all levels, making his senior debut for the side in a pre-season friendly against Harlequins in August 2010.
Later that year, he was a member of the Ireland U20 squad that won the 2010 Six Nations Championship and also competed in the IRB Junior World Championships.
The second signing is that of 22-year-old Sean Doyle. Australian-born Doyle is an openside flanker and has joined Ulster from Sydney side, Southern Districts.
He is Irish-qualified and has been one of the leading players in the New South Wales Premier Grade over the past four seasons, as well as being a strong performer for the NSW
